NPP MLA calls for discipline, says no disruption of opposition meetings like VPP supporters

Jowai, April 11: The National People’s Party (NPP) MLA of Sutnga Saipung constituency, Santamary Mary Shylla, has urged all party members and supporters to maintain discipline and not to disrupt meetings of other political parties.

The Sutnga Saipung MLA during a public meeting in Lawmusiang, Jowai took a dig at the opposition Voice of the People Party (VPP) supporters who have been alleged to disrupt NPP meetings in Umsning and Jaïaw.

MLA Santamary also urged people not to fall victim to false allegations leveled against the NPP-led government by the opposition.

Other NPP leaders present at the public meeting to seek support for MP candidate Dr. Ampareen Lyngdoh include NPP National Secretary and Deputy CM Sniawbhalang Dhar, MLA from Jowai Wailadmiki Shylla, as well as JHADC MDCs, among others.

In his speech, MLA Wailadmiki Shylla also expressed discontent over incidents of opposition supporters shouting slogans of VPP during NPP meetings. The Jowai MLA also condemned the attack on the residence of Umsning MDC, Magdalene S. Mawlong.

Deputy CM and National Secretary of NPP, Sniawbhalang Dhar, urged people to support the NPP for the interest of the district and the state as a whole.
