MMSA observes black badge day to protest rape & murder of trainee doctor in Kolkata hospital

Shillong, Aug 16: In solidarity with the All India Federation of Government Doctors Association (AIFGDA), the Meghalaya Medical Services Association (MMSA) on Friday observed a black badge protest against the recent rape and murder of a trainee doctor in Kolkata.

“By wearing black badges, we stand united with our fellow doctors across the country to condemn this act of violence and to call for immediate justice. The safety and security of healthcare professional are paramount and such incidents must not go unaddressed,” MMSA said in a statement.

The MMSA also urged authorities to take stringent action against the perpetrators and to ensure a safer working environment for all medical professionals.
