SHILLONG, FEB 13: Deputy Chief Minister Prestone Tynsong, in-charge of Home (Police), chaired a meeting to discuss strategies to combat the drug menace in Meghalaya.
“The meeting today is only to further discuss the challenges that we have as far as drug menace is concerned,” Tynsong told reporters on Friday..
The meeting, attended by state Director General of Police (DGP) Idashisha Nongrang, Mission Director of DREAM Francis Kharshiing, social welfare officials, and CEO of Shillong Cantonment Board, aimed to devise stringent actions against drug trafficking and abuse.
“Let us see from next week may be some more stringent actions will be taken accordingly,” Tynsong added.
