SHILLONG, SEPT 3: The state government has invited suggestions from the public on the Draft Meghalaya State Agriculture Policy, 2026.
In a notification issued on Thursday, Commissioner & Secretary, Agriculture & Farmers’ Welfare Dr Vijay Kumar D said the 61-page draft with 10 sections and two annexures has been put in the public domain.
Suggestions can be submitted at [email protected], [email protected] and [email protected] till September 30, with reference to section and page number.
The department will also hold stakeholder consultations with farmers, cooperatives, entrepreneurs and the scientific community before finalizing the policy.
