Shillong, Jan 19: A 15-member squad was named today by the Meghalaya Cricket Association’s senior women’s selection committee for the BCCI’s Senior Women One Day Trophy 2025-26 plate group, which will be held next month.
The team will be captained by stalwart Debasmita Dutta, with Monica Lyngdoh Phawa as the vice-captain.
All of Meghalaya’s matches will take place in Bhubaneswar and Cuttack. Meghalaya will first play Sikkim on 6 February and the other states in the plate group are Bihar, Manipur, Mizoram and Nagaland.
The preparatory camp for the tournament will begin on 25 January and conclude on 2 February at the RBDCA Cricket Ground in Pahamsning, Nongkhrah, Ri-Bhoi. Players and support staff from Khasi-Jaintia Hills should report to Polo Ground on 24 January at 2:30pm for departure to Nongkhrah, whereas players from Garo Hills will report at the venue directly. The team will depart for Odisha directly from Nongkhrah on 3 February.
