Shillong, Jan 4: In a major boost to the ruling National People’s Party (NPP) ahead of the 2023 Assembly elections, three more MLAs will join the National People’s Party (NPP) this week.
Cabinet Minister and Mylliem Legislator Hamletson Dohling will be joining the NPP on Saturday, Umsning MLA Jason Sawkmie Mawlong on Friday and Sohiong MLA and former Cabinet Minister Samlin Malngiang will be joining on January 10.
Dohling is expected to tender his resignation on Wednesday to the Legislative Speaker Metbah Lyngdoh.
Hamletson and Jason are from the People Democratic Party (PDF) while Malngiang is from the Hill State People’s Democratic Party (HSPDP).
