Maitri Volleyball match between BSF and BGB held in Garo Hills

Bagmara, Oct 29: On the occasion of celebration of 75th year of India Independence under the “Azadi ka amrit Mahotsav”, a maitri volleyball match was organised between BSF and BGB near Border outpost Baghmara, 43 Bn BSF under South Garo Hills to enhance the peaceful and friendly atmosphere between BSF and BGB.

Sh Ratikant Thakur, Commandant of 43 Bn BSF welcomed the 20 members delegation from Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) led by Lt Col ASM Zakariya, Commandant of 31 BGB.

Volleyball teams from both border guarding forces played with full spirit and enthusiastically. After completion of the match, mementos and trophies were presented to the teams’ members.

The civil population of the border also expressed their joy and appreciated both BSF and BGB for creating a friendly atmosphere on the international border, BSF said in a press statement.
