KSU locks NEHU VC’s office over unfulfilled demands

Shillong, May 22: The Khasi Students’ Union, NEHU unit, on Monday locked the office of the Vice Chancellor (VC) of North Eastern Hill University (NEHU), Prof Prabha Shankar Shukla for disregarding several demands of the students studying in the University.

The Students’ Union has been demanding improvements in various basic requirements of the students like transportation, hostel, among other demands.

Initially, the Union had an appointment with the VC but the VC refused to meet the members of the KSU, NEHU Unit, which subsequently led to KSU locking the office of the VC.

The KSU said they have no intention to meet the VC until he pays heeds to all of their demands.
