Shillong, Feb 24: The Voice of the People Party (VPP) has won 17 seats in Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council (KHADC) elections.
Counting is still underway and the party is expected to win 20 seats.
Based on the current results, VPP, led by Nongkrem MLA Bah Ardent M Basaiawmoit, has already crossed the majority mark needed to form the new Executive Committee in KHADC.
The 17 constituencies where VPP has secured victory are:

With counting still underway, VPP is on track to increase its tally to 20 seats.
