KHADC Elections | Ri Bhoi ready for Polls in 331 Stations | 16 Vulnerable & 14 Critical

Nongpoh, Feb 20: The District Administration of Ri Bhoi has made extensive preparations for the upcoming MDC election in the five constituencies of Ri Bhoi, scheduled for February 21.

The District Administration has taken careful measures and provided adequate security to ensure that the election proceeds smoothly in these five constituencies.

According to the Additional Deputy Commissioner of Ri Bhoi, Balakyntiew Ranee, the District Administration has been managing and overseeing the preparations for the MDC election in these constituencies, and the process has been progressing without any major delays.

She also mentioned that there are 331 polling stations in Ri Bhoi. Starting from yesterday, government workers (polling personnel) have been heading to their assigned polling stations, and they are continuing to do so today to ensure that everything is ready for the election.

Ranee further noted that despite the efforts to ensure smooth operations, 16 polling stations have been identified as vulnerable and 14 as critical.

However, the District Administration has already provided the necessary security measures to prevent any disruptions, ensuring that the election will be conducted in a peaceful and orderly manner, allowing the public to cast their votes for the KHADC candidates without any issues affecting the peace and security of the community.
