Shillong, Sept 28: The Jaintia Students’ Union (JSU) on Saturday demanded the health department to reissue the results for the Staff Nurse and ANM examination by declaring both the roll numbers and marks obtained by the candidates.

This came a day after the results were declared by the department on the website of www.meghealth.gov.in (on September 27, 2024).

Seeking the health minister Ampareen Lyngdoh’s intervention into the matter, the JSU in a letter said that the current method of announcing only the roll numbers of qualified candidates, without their obtained marks, raises issues of transparency and fairness.

The absence of individual scores does not provide justice or clarity to the applicants who have worked diligently to prepare for this examination.

The union also stated that it has noted discrepancies, including instances where the same roll number appears multiple times in the results sheet. Such irregularities undermine the credibility of the examination process.

“We strongly urge your good self as the Honorable Minister of Health to address this matter urgently. We request that the results be reissued, displaying both the roll numbers and the marks obtained by each candidate. This would not only promote transparency but also restore faith in the examination process. We hope for prompt action and clarity on this issue, ensuring that all applicants are treated fairly and justly,” the JSU stated in the letter.
