Guwahati, June 8: Assam Police arrested the driver of Royal Global School bus on Thursday that was involved in a hit-and-run case in Guwahati’s Ganeshguri that claimed the life of a school girl.
The driver of the bus has been identified as Bipul Boro.
Police also seized the school bus bearing registration number AS-01-PC-7411.
The incident is said to have occurred at around 7:15 am.
The bus belongs to Royal Global School located in Lokhra and has been taken to Basistha Police Station.
After the incident, the driver left the school bus and ran away from the spot after hitting the school girl who was riding pillion with her father and younger sister.
The deceased school girl was the student of Little Flower School. She was declared spot dead while her father and sister received serious injuries after being hit by the speeding school bus.
