Shillong, Sept 13: Meghalaya Deputy Chief Minister, Prestone Tynsong, is recovering at a private hospital in the National capital following a brain surgery.

According to a health bulletin, the Dy CM’s “post-operative recovery is progressing favorably, and he is responding positively to treatment”.

Tynsong underwent a surgery after being diagnosed with acute subdural hematoma.

He was first rushed to the ICU of Nazareth Hospital in the state capital on September 9, and once his health stabilised a bit, he was taken to New Delhi and admitted at the Indraprastha Apollo hospital on September 11.

The next day, a team of doctors successfully performed surgery to remove the hematoma (generally blood clot). Tynsong after the surgery is stable and has been shifted to hospital’s ward.

A dedicated multidisciplinary team at Apollo Hospital is providing comprehensive care to ensure his full recovery, the health bulletin said.
