Tura, Dec 23: Several people received their Christmas gifts early this year as Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma on Wednesday surprised shoppers and traders with an impromptu visit to Tura Bazar, where he personally bought and gifted clothes and shoes to people from economically weaker sections, spreading festive cheer through acts of kindness and direct interaction.
Driving his own vehicle, the Chief Minister arrived at the bustling market in the afternoon and walked through supermarkets and other sections of the bazar, warmly greeting shopkeepers and members of the public.
Exchanging Christmas wishes, he interacted with people from all walks of life, creating a cheerful and welcoming atmosphere.

In what many described as the gesture of an “impromptu Santa Claus,” CM Sangma reached out to those in need with compassion and goodwill, embodying the true spirit of the Christmas season.
