Shillong, March 13: “Jingjop”, a 13-song music album written, sung, and produced by the Church of Jesus Christ in Riatsamthiah, was released on Monday in Shillong. The album includes two music videos and was unveiled by Senior Pastor Iashan Rynthathiang during an event at the Shillong Press Club.

Pastor Rynthathiang revealed that the album had been in the works since 2011, and it took the Church four years to complete it. “Jingjop”, which translates to “Victory”, features Khasi tunes, beats, and melodies that resonate with the local community.

“The Album is an expression to connect music from the heart,” remarked Pastor Rynthathiang.

“Each song has its own uniqueness, we believe that God give it to us, we didn’t just sit down and write these songs. It was during those moments of worship, in the moment of the presence of Lord it was there when the thoughts came, the lyrics came and the music came. That is where we work together. Therefore, each of these songs have a story,” said Pastor Rynthathiang.

The album is now available to stream on Spotify, iTunes, Amazon Music and the music videos are in the Church’s YouTube Channel.
