Shillong, Dec 11: A packed concert with sold-out tickets drew fans from all across the region to see the legendary Bryan Adams in person in Shillong in Tuesday night. Truly for everyone present, it was worth every penny and every hour spent in the chilly December night of Shillong.

Dressed in full white, the 65-year-old Canadian icon captivated attendees of all ages with his unique, deep voice that gave everyone goosebumps. One fan remarked, “Sngew thik kumba rwai ha cassette,” a Khasi sentence translating to “he sounds just like on the cassette.”

Bryan Adams truly ages like fine wine—delivering such a remarkable performance at his age feels almost unreal, showcasing the charisma of the one and only Bryan Adams.

As he stepped on stage, Adams acknowledged the biting Shillong cold with a laugh, saying, “Did not expect Shillong to be this cold.” Yet, the cold night quickly turned warm, the very moment as his music and guitar filled the air.

Speaking of guitar, fans were left not just in awe of Adams but also deeply impressed by Keith Scott—the lead guitarist. When Adams handed over the spotlight, Scott—dressed in a black leather jacket—He Delivered.

Adams, currently on tour promoting his latest album, ‘So Happy It Hurts’, performed an electrifying setlist that seamlessly blended new tracks with beloved classics.

But the audience erupted as he played his timeless hits like ‘Heaven’, ‘Please Forgive Me’ and the ever-energetic song that everyone knows every note and every line of- ‘Summer of ’69’. No matter their age, the entire crowd was on their feet, singing along to every word.

A well and professionally managed concert, offering not only a world-class performance but also a platform for local talent. Shillong’s own Snowwhite opened the evening with soulful tunes, while Blue Temptation kept the energy high with their dynamic set, earning well-deserved applause.

As the lights dimmed and fans waved their flashlights during the final chords, it was clear this wasn’t just a concert. For everyone present, it was truly A Night to Remember.
