Shillong, Oct 4: The Search and Rescue Team of East Khasi Hills successfully recovered the body of Wandonbok Kurbah from a plunge pool at Weitdem Waterfall, located in a forest near Traw Village.

The body was recovered after nearly 8 hours on Wednesday.

As shown in the visuals, the lifeless body of the 20-year-old boy was seen floating in the water. After nearly 8 hours of tireless efforts, the SRT managed to recover the body at around 3:15 pm in the afternoon.

The body of the 20-year-old, Wandonbok, has been taken to the hospital for a post-mortem examination.

Two youth go missing from Marbisu Village, family reaches out for help

Phibankyntiew Sun (18) and Wandonbok Kurbah (20) have been missing from their homes since September 20, 2023. They were last seen around 5 p.m. at their home in Marbisu Village, near Mawphlang.

The body of Phibankyntiew was recovered by the SRT on Tuesday afternoon in a gorge in Traw village, near Marbisu, under Mawngap Police Station.
