Dibrugarh, Jan 26: An Assam Rifles camp in Arunachal Pradesh’s Changlang district came under attack on Republic Day on Sunday morning, allegedly by suspected militants.

According to security sources, the Assam Rifles camp at Ranglum was targeted at around 8:45 am in what is believed to be a joint operation by cadres of the ULFA (Independent) and the NSCN (K-YA). The camp is located close to the India–Myanmar border, approximately 10 km from the Changlang district headquarters.
Personnel of the Assam Rifles launched an immediate counter-operation following the attack. No injuries have been reported so far from either side, sources said.

In the aftermath of the incident, security has been heightened across the border areas of the district. A joint search operation involving multiple security agencies has been launched to track down the attackers.
Officials are closely monitoring the situation as investigations continue.
