Dhubri, June 4: In a surprising incident, a counting agent was caught with a mobile phone that was hidden inside his shoes while entering the counting hall in Dhubri. The incident took place at the entry gate for Gauripur and Dhubri LAC Counting Hall this morning.
According to reports, the phone was detected during a routine security check. The counting agent is identified as A Islam. As per his official I-Card, he is representing the AGP candidate for Dhubri LS.
Authorities suspect possible foul play or attempts to interfere with the vote counting. The mobile is confiscated, and the person is detained for further investigation by the Police.
