In a statement issued by APCC general secretary and Assam in-charge Jitendra Singh along with state president Gaurav Gogoi, the party said the teams will be deployed across all constituencies that went to polls on April 9.

The teams have been tasked with verifying strongroom arrangements, coordinating with party candidates, and liaising with district-level leadership. Senior leaders have been assigned region-wise responsibilities to streamline supervision.

In Upper Assam, the team comprising Debabrata Saikia, Raju Sahu, Utpal Gogoi, Rajkumar Nalatira Neog, David Phukan, and Mrityunjay Duarah will cover districts including Tinsukia, Dibrugarh, Sivasagar, Charaideo, Jorhat, and Golaghat.

Party leaders said the move is aimed at strengthening ground-level monitoring and coordination during the counting process. The teams will reach counting centres ahead of May 4 and remain deployed until the process concludes.
