SHILLONG, SEP 21: The 119 Territorial Army (Infantry Battalion) organized a successful blood donation camp at Kenches Trace, Shillong, on Saturday.
The event organised as part of the Platinum Jubilee celebrations aimed to support the local community and bolster the blood supply at the Pasteur Institute’s Blood Bank.
The camp saw enthusiastic participation from the Terriers. This initiative underscores the Territorial Army’s commitment to community service and the importance of blood donation in saving lives.
Colonel Devashis Nailk Commanding Officer of the 119 Territorial Army, expressed gratitude to all donors, stating, “Every drop counts. Today’s donations will play a vital role in providing lifesaving blood to those in need.”
The blood collected will be processed and made available for patients in local hospitals, further enhancing healthcare accessibility in the region.
The 119 Territorial Army plans to hold similar camps in the future, continuing its mission to serve both the nation and its communities.
