Imphal, July 13: Yet again armed miscreants reportedly attempted to kidnap two Manipur police commando personnel on Wednesday morning near Moreh Gate No 2 in Tengnoupal district.
According to the police in Moreh, the police said some armed miscreants, suspected to be KNA and UKLF, came in an auto rickshaw and shouted at the two cops, Bulu and Robinson, who were in civil dress, to stop.
“The two cops, while trying to escape from the spot, were blocked by another auto rickshaw that hit Bulu. The armed miscreants started firing with an intention to kidnap the two ,cops who were in civil dress,” police said.
In a statement issued by Police Control Room stated that some suspected armed miscreants travelling in an auto tried to abduct two police personnel in plain clothes, who were going to purchase some essential items, including medicine from Moreh Gate number 2 and Nepali Basti diversion point.
