Shillong, Oct 31: Journalist turned businessman Allan West Kharkongor officially joined the National People’s Party (NPP) on Monday.

Kharkongor was welcomed by the National President and Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma, National Vice President and Dy CM Prestone Tyngsong, MP WR Kharlukhi and other party officials at the party head office at Shillong.
The former journalist of PCN will be contesting from Sohra Constituency against the incumbent MLA of PDF Gavin Mylliem.
Allan West Kharkongor was declared the official candidate of the NPP by the State President and MP WR Kharlukhi.
