SHILLONG, OCT 3: Deputy Chief Minister Sniawbhalang Dhar on Saturday downplayed former Nartiang MLA Draison Kharshiing along with over 200 supporters joining the BJP, saying shifting loyalties is normal in politics.
Asked about the development in Jaintia Hills, Dhar said, “You see how many of them they are joining. Maybe today, tomorrow, more than a thousand will join NPP. In politics, joining and going is a normal process, no surprise. It is not a threat, not at all.”
On reports of NPP MLAs joining the Naga People’s Front, he said, “Don’t worry, everything will fall into place.”
