Shillong, Aug 3: The Meghalaya Government has opened online registration for its laptop award scheme for meritorious students who cleared the 2026 board examinations, with the application window remaining open until September 3.
The scheme covers students who passed the MBOSE SSLC, MBOSE HSSLC, ICSE, ISC and CBSE Class X and XII examinations. In the case of ICSE, ISC and CBSE, only students who appeared from schools affiliated to the respective boards and located within Meghalaya are eligible.
The Directorate of Information Technology and Communications has published a provisional list of eligible students on its website. Students who have secured marks equal to or higher than the last shortlisted candidate but whose names are missing from the list can approach the Directorate with their original marksheets, valid photo ID and other supporting documents for verification.
The government has also invited claims and objections, which can be submitted to the Directorate on or before September 3.
