Human skeleton found in West Jaintia Hills

SHILLONG, NOV 4: A human skeleton was recovered from Rachi Forest, Mookyndur village in West Jaintia Hills on October 30, police said on Tuesday.

Despite an inquest and necessary formalities, the identity of the deceased remains unknown, they said.

Personal belongings found near the skeletal remains include a red thread, three keys, and a safety pin.

District SP Jagpal Singh Dhanoa has appealed to the public for information that may help identify the deceased.

Anyone with relevant information or claiming the body is requested to contact the nearest Police Station or the provided phone numbers (6002152968/ 9774065467) within five days.
