NPP’s Ampareen Lyngdoh first to file nomination for Shillong Lok Sabha

Shillong, March 22: The National People’s Party (NPP) candidate for the Shillong parliamentary seat, Dr. Mazel Ampareen Lyngdoh, officially filed her nomination before the Returning Officer of East Khasi Hills on Friday.

Accompanied by NPP leaders, including Deputy Chief Minister Prestone Tynsong and Sniawbhalang Dhar, Lyngdoh marched from her residence in Laitumkhrah to the bust of her father, the late Peter G. Marbaniang (who was an Lok Sabha MP in 1989 to 1996) to seek his blessing. Then, they proceeded to the NPP Head Office and later to the Deputy Commissioner’s Office in East Khasi Hills, Shillong.

Lyngdoh serves as a Cabinet Minister in the MDA-II government.
