AKHAF flags absence of medical staff in Ranikor CHC

Shillong, Jan 10: The All Khasi Hills A.chik Federation (AKHAF) has raised the issue of alleged absence of medical staff serving at Ranikor CHC.

“The Federation has collected multiple complains from the public of border area of Ranikor, South West Khasi Hills that the health conditions and different other medical needs of general people are being abandoned for almost few weeks due to absence of medical staffs including doctors in the CHC,” Cleafstar Ch Marak, the president of AKHAF – central body, claimed in a press statement on Tuesday.

He said hundreds of villages rely on the CHC for their basic medical treatment but currently the patients remain unattended to.

“We the Federation on behalf of (the) severely suffering public demand immediate settlement of medical staffs in the Ranikor CHC to attend the various medical needs of general public and not to harass our population any further,” he said.
