658 Agniveers attested and passed out of Assam Regimental Centre

SHILLONG, JUNE 1: The Assam Regimental Centre held attestation & passing out parade of 3rd Batch of Agniveers at Shillong.

658 Agniveers were attested and passed out in a scintillating ceremony conducted at the Parson’s Parade Ground, Happy Valley. The parade was reviewed by Brigadier Neelesh Anand Pagulwar, SC, SM, VSM, Commandant, Assam Regimental Centre.

The ceremonial attestation and passing out parade marks the completion of the training of Agniveers in Training Centre. These Agniveers will be serving in Assam Regiment Units at various locations.

The Reviewing Officer of attestation and passing out parade extolled the virtues of selfless service to the nation and recounted the contributions of the North East and Assam Regiment towards nation building. Complimenting the passing out batch for their immaculate standards, he exhorted the warriors from the North East to persevere in pursuit of excellence.

Swaying to the tilting tune of the Regimental song ‘How beautiful is my Land, the Agniveers erupted in joy to mark a successful transition from enthusiastic recruits to valiant Agniveers.

The attestation and passing out parade was attended by the more than 2000 proud parents and relatives of Agniveers.

Proud parents were bestowed with ‘Gaurav Padak’ which is a small token of gratitude by the Indian Army for their dedication to sending their child to serve the Nation.
