Shillong, Aug 7: East Khasi Hills District police has introduced seven dedicated branch-wise traffic control helpline numbers to enhance traffic management and response to traffic-related issues in Shillong.
According to Superintendent of Police Vivek Syiem, the helpline numbers are designed to facilitate quick reporting of traffic jams or obstruction, vehicular breakdowns, accidents, unsafe road conditions and other emergencies.
The 7 branch-wise helpline numbers are: Laban Traffic Branch – 69093-96411, Laitumkhrah Traffic Branch – 69093-96412, Rynjah Traffic Branch – 69093-96413, Lumdiengjri Traffic Branch – 69093-96414, Sadar Traffic Branch – 69093-96415, Madanrting Traffic Branch – 69093-96416 and Mawlai Traffic Branch – 69093-96417.
The public are requested to reach out to the respective traffic branches for assistance with traffic related queries or emergencies ensuring a more efficient and responsive traffic management system in Shillong.
