Shillong, March 7: As many as 14 persons have been arrested for their involvement in the Meghalaya Teachers’ Eligibility Test (MTET) question paper leak in 2019.
This was informed by Minister in-charge Education Rakkam A Sangma while replying in the Assembly on Friday during the question hour.
Eleven out of 14 arrested persons are students or MTET candidates, he said.
Sangma informed that the source of the question paper leak is the program developer and employee of NEICOM Impression Printing Press, Guwahati.
The question paper leak was first detected at Tura Government College, West Garo Hills District, he added.
Further, the minister assured that the government will take steps to ensure such incident do not reoccur in the future.
