SHILLONG, JAN 19: An accused identified as Pynkloide Deibor Phyrnge has been convicted and sentenced to ten years rigorous imprisonment for his involvement in sexually assualting a minor girl in 2024.
The investigation, led by WPI O Tyngkan based on an FIR registered at Khliehriat police station on October 9, 2024, found Pynkloide @ Deibor Phyrnge guilty.
The Special Judge (POCSO), East Jaintia Hills District, sentenced him to rigorous imprisonment for 3 years and a fine of ₹5,000 under POCSO Act Section 3(a)/4.
Additionally, he was sentenced to 10 years rigorous imprisonment and a fine of ₹10,000 under POCSO Act Section 4(1).
