TURA, 9 Feb: West Garo Hills police have busted one of the biggest contraband shipments in Garo Hills in recent times with the narcotic drug Yaba tablets worth lakhs of rupees confiscated from a vehicle that had entered Garo Hills from neighbouring Assam.
According to West Garo Hills police, during routine checking police from Rongsai outpost of Tikrikilla stopped a Mahindra Bolero pickup mini truck and on inspection found approximately two kgs of the yaba tablets hidden inside the vehicle.
The vehicle AS 18 AC 2237, driven by one Raj Ali (30) of Krishnai, Goalpara, has been seized along with the driver.
