Shillong, Jan 17: The Voice of the People Party (VPP) has received Rs 1.73 lakh as financial contribution from its supporters.
The contribution was made during the public meeting organized by the party at Polo grounds on Monday.
Informing this on Tuesday, VPP spokesperson Dr Batskhem Myrboh said, “I, on behalf of the VPP, would like to express my deep sense of gratitude to the supporters of the party, who unhesitatingly contributed to call of the Party for financial contribution as a sign of people’s strength and power during its meeting on the 16th January, 2023. The total amount of the contribution was Rs 1,73,223 only.”
“With a great sense of responsibility and commitment, the party assures that people’s common aspirations are served and put forward diligently and sincerely when voted to the Assembly and power,” he said.
He said the party also urges and welcomes each and every one to join the people’s movement towards achieving the goal of making Meghalaya the state of good governance with public driven administration. “Let us together create history. The Party firmly believes in the power of the people and “together we can”,” he said.
