On Sunday, 70 students and citizens were evacuated from Manipur by the Meghalaya government.

Of the 70, 62 are students. These students were flown back to Guwahati airport from Imphal airport via a Flybig flight. Of the 62 students, 23 will be heading to Shillong, 25 to Tura, and the remaining 14 will be picked up by their parents and relatives.

Meghalaya has been working tirelessly to bring back its citizens and ensure their safety during these troubled times. On Saturday, 17 students were brought back and on Friday 66 students were brought back safely to the State.

Government of Meghalaya is also arranging food on arrival on a daily basis at the airport as well as vehicles for students and citizens.

The evacuation effort is part of Meghalaya’s commitment to safeguarding the lives of its citizens and providing them with a sense of security during this difficult period. The government has assured the families of those affected that it will continue to do everything in its power to ensure their safety and well-being.
