Shillong, Sept 18: The Unitarian Church on Thursday celebrated its 138th Anniversary in Jowai with the floral tribute to the Church’s Founder, HK Singh and the unfurling of the Church Flag by the Moderator, GM Lamar.
This year’s theme for the anniversary is “Ka Anniversary-Ka jingkyrsiew Mynsiem”.
On Thursday at 12:30 pm a special service was held where Teiborlang Passah delivered the sermon.
Following the Service in the evening a procession was held from the Church at Tympang Iawmusiang through various localities of Jowai Town.
During the procession both old and young carried torches as they proceeded back to the Church as they sang hymns along the way.
