Shillong, Nov 3: Cabinet Minister Timothy D Shira on Tuesday downplayed the removal of Tourism portfolio from him, saying he is ready to adjust to any decision taken by Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma.

The Tourism portfolio has been allotted to reinducted Cabinet Minister Paul Lyngdoh in the reshuffle.

“The Tourism department has already been taken away. I don’t know what portfolio will be given to me,” Shira said.

“It is the Chief Minister’s prerogative. If anything is given to me, I am satisfied,” he added.

Shira said he was not consulted but has no complaint.

“He (CM) knows my mind. Even if I am not consulted, I don’t mind, I can adjust. He knows very well my mind and he knows my party loyalty,” he said.

“We are here not to make anything, but we are here to serve the people,” Shira said.
