Shillong’s Rachel Rimeika Jyrwa crowned Miss Hornbill International 2023, to sign contract with Vogue Nagaland

Kohima, Dec 3: Rachel Rimeika Jyrwa, 19, emerged victorious, claiming the coveted title of Miss Hornbill International 2023 amidst the vibrant celebrations of the Hornbill Festival 2023 in Kohima, Nagaland.

Hailing from Mawlai, Shillong, Rachel, a BA English student at Shillong’s Synod College, has captivated the audience with her grace and charm, securing not only the winning crown but also the titles of Miss Beautiful Smile and Best Evening Gown.

Alongside the prestigious title, Rachel was awarded a generous cash prize of 2 lakhs and ₹30,000/- for her exceptional performance in various subtitles.

The 19-year-old Rachel holds the First Runner’s Up title in Miss Shillong 2023 and is now set to sign a promising one-year contract with Vogue Nagaland.

The Miss Hornbill International 2023 host participants from different parts of India and its neighbouring countries graced the event’s stage.
