Shillong, Nov 22: Shillong Lajong continued its undefeated run in the I-League 2023 with a 2-1 victory against Delhi FC at the SSA Stadium (First Ground) Polo, Shillong on Wednesday.

Having played 5 games, securing 2 wins and 3 draws and accumulating 9 points, the Shillong-based club currently holds the fourth position in the I-League table.

In Wednesday’s match, Shillong Lajong opened the scoring with a splendid goal from Number 19, Karim Samb, in the 24th minute. However, in the 60th minute of the second half, Delhi FC equalized with an impressive goal by Gaurav Rawat. In the final ten minutes of normal time, local talent Phrangki Buam netted a goal with his right foot, sending thousands of ‘Red Devils’ fans into a frenzy, cheering for the local Shillong Lajong Football Team.

Shillong Lajong will host their next home match against the 13th position Tiddim Road Athletic Union FC (TRAU) on Saturday at the SSA Stadium, Polo.
