Shillong, Aug 27: The Anti-Narcotic Task Force(ANTF), Meghalaya apprehended a drug peddler and seized drugs from his possession during an operation near Namghar Laban in Shillong on Tuesday.
The drug peddler has been identified as- Rohit Baruah(30), son of Moitri Baruah of Dhobighat Loban.
According to official, during his body search one soap box filled with contraband(heroin) was recovered which was accordingly seized by the team .
The total weight of the contraband was found to be 9.94 gram.
The accused person has been arrested under NDPS case. Further investigation is going on.
