Guwahati, April 30: Many train services will be disrupted on May 1 due to scheduled track safety works and traffic blocks in the Lumding division of the N.F. Railway. The Chief Public Relations Officer, NF Railway, Sabyasachi De informed in an official press release.
According to the release, maintenance work to enhance track safety will occur between Jatinga Lampur and New Harangajao stations under the Lumding Division. The restrictions on train movement are scheduled from 18:00 hours on May 1, 2024, to 06:00 hours the following morning and will include a traffic block between the same stations from 09:00 to 15:00 hours.
Cancellation of Trains:
Several trains have been affected by the upcoming maintenance work. The cancelled services include:
Train no. 15615 (Guwahati – Silchar) Express
Train no. 15616 (Silchar – Guwahati) Express
Train no. 15617 (Guwahati – Dullabcherra) Express
Train no. 15618 (Dullabcherra – Guwahati) Express
Train no. 15888 (Guwahati – Badarpur) Tourist Express
Train no. 15887 (Badarpur – Guwahati) Tourist Express
All the above trains were scheduled to depart on May 1, 2024.
Regulation of Train Services:
In addition to cancellations, the Kanchunjunga Express (Train no. 13173 from Sealdah to Agartala), which started its journey today, will face a delay. The train between Guwahati and Lumding will be regulated for about four hours.
Rescheduling of Departures:
The schedule of other trains has also been adjusted:
Train no. 02502 (Agartala – Kolkata) Express will depart at 08:35 instead of 07:35.
Train no. 12514 (Silchar – Secunderabad) Express will be delayed, with a new departure time set at 23:50 instead of 19:50.
