Metbah Lyngdoh re-elected as President of UDP

Shillong, Aug 12: Mairang Legislator and former Meghalaya Assembly Speaker, Metbah Lyngdoh was re-elected as the President of the United Democratic Party (UDP) on Saturday.

The re-election of Lyngdoh was carried out through a democratic voting process held at the party’s main office in Laitumkhrah.

Alongside this significant development, the UDP also announced the continuation of Jemino Mawthoh as their General Secretary. Mawthoh, a former MLA with a respected political background, symbolizes the party’s trust in his abilities and unwavering commitment to the party’s principles and objectives.

Furthermore, Paul Lyngdoh, a prominent political figure and incumbent MLA from West Shillong and current Tourism minister, has been reaffirmed as the Working President. Paul is a key figure in the party and has played a pivotal role in party’s recent success in elections and other fronts.
