Shillong, July 25: Deputy Chief Minister in-charge Home (Police) Prestone Tynsong has stated that the results of the written examination for police job recruitment in Meghalaya are expected to be declared very soon.

Speaking to reporters on Friday, Tynsong said that the recruitment process for the written exams has been completed, and the compilation of results is underway. The examination was attended by a significant number of candidates, estimated to be around 36,000 to 37,000.

“Hopefully, very soon we will be able to declare the results of those exams which were already held,” he added.

Regarding allegations of unfair means during the examination, Tynsong stated that an investigation was conducted by the Director General of Police (DGP) and found no evidence of malpractices at the examination centers across the state

“Yes, initially some complaints reached to my table also and I had asked DGP to find out the facts if there is any kind of unfair means done in the examination centres and ultimately we got all the details and we found out that there was no such unfair means done in the examination centres throughout the state,” he added.
