Meghalaya: Man’s headless body found floating on Umiam Lake

Shillong, July 11: A headless body of a man aged between 30-40 years old was found floating from Umiam Lake near Mawdud village on Monday, police officials informed.

The Office of the Superintendent of Police (SP), East Khasi Hills (EKH) informed that the person whose body has been found is fair and 5.5 in height.

The headless body has been kept at Civil Hosptal Morgue room for identification and claim.

A case have been registered at Lumdeingjri PS in connection with this case.

Also, the SP office has requested relatives and friends of any missing person to identify the deceased at Civil Hospital by contacting on the following numbers:  O/C Lumdiengjri PS—03642548151 or I/C Police Control Room, Shillong—03642222214/2222215.
