Shillong, July 9: In order to bring innovation and leverage technology to engage students in interactive learning that matches with the needs of the modern times, Meghalaya government has decided to integrate QR codes into the textbooks.

The rationale behind this move is that the QR Code can be used by the students, via a mobile phone or any device with a scanner, to access educational apps with correct video lessons and solved question papers. It is to assist the students to spend less in searching for the correct reading materials and exercises, thus, giving them more time to focus on learning.

This move also aims to bolster learning opportunities, especially for students lacking access to traditional tuition facilities.
