SHILLONG, June 3: In a move aimed at enhancing public service and expanding educational opportunities, the Government of Meghalaya’s Education Department has announced the opening of admissions and enrolments for undergraduate courses in the Arts stream at two new institutions. The newly established Rongjeng Model Degree College in East Garo Hills District and Patharkhmah Model Degree College in Ri Bhoi District are now accepting applications for the academic year 2024-2025.
Taking to ‘X’, Education Minister Rakkam A. Sangma tweeted, “I am happy to inform that the Education Department, Government of Meghalaya has announced the start of the admissions for UG Courses at two Model Degree Colleges at Rongjeng Model Degree College East Garo Hills and Patharkhmah Model Degree College, Ri-Bhoi, Meghalaya. This is an initiative to fulfill the aspirations and needs of the people in education!”
