Meghalaya: CM Conrad held meeting with MoRD officials to review implementation of various schemes

Shillong, June 22: Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma on Thursday informed that a meeting was held with officials of Ministry of Rural development to review the implementation of various schemes under the Ministry focusing on the vision for the next 5 years in Social Infrastructure and Human Development.

CM Conrad said that the discussion was on the concerns faced at the grassroot in the implementation of the schemes & support that the Ministry can consider to redress the same.

Sharing the glimpse from the meeting, CM wrote, “A meeting was held with officials of @MoRD_GoI to review implementation of various schemes under the Ministry focusing on our vision for the next 5 years in Social Infrastructure and Human Development. We also discussed concerns faced at the grassroot in the implementation of the schemes & support that the Ministry can consider to redress the same.”

On Wednesday, CM held a meeting with the Deputy Commissioners and Departments to look into the damages caused by the incessant rains including the loss of precious lives in the state.

CM had also checked on the measures taken by the Districts & to ensure that all the arrangements are made in the eventuality of further heavy rains in the days to come.
