Shillong, Aug 17: Another leader of the newly floated Khasi militant outfit ‘National Liberation Council of Nongkyndong (NLCN)’ was arrested from Iewduh (Bara Bazar) here on Thursday morning.
The arrested person has identified himself as the self-styled Area Commander of East Khasi Hills District, police said.
The number of arrested members of the NLCN has gone up to 11 including a juvenile, they said.
A senior police officer informed that operations are on to nab the other cadres of the new outfit.
All arrested persons are being produced before the court on Thursday. Police have sought sufficient time for police custody in order to arrest all its members.
