MCA seeks experienced players as new team selectors

Shillong, Mar 15: The Meghalaya Cricket Association has invited applications from experienced cricketers for the post of State-level Selectors.

Selectors are needed for the Senior Men, Junior Men, Senior Women and Junior Women categories. Their responsibilities include identifying and selecting talented players for the various state teams, developing and implementing selection policies and collaborating with coaches and other officials.

Interested candidates may apply with their cricketing achievements and educational qualifications to the Cricket Advisory Sub-Committee by 18 March 2026. Candidates can email [email protected].

Applicants must be below 60 years, belong to an indigenous community of Meghalaya or be a permanent/domicile resident of the state. They must have had playing experience at the district/state level and possess a good understanding of the game and current trends. Strong communication and analytical skills are also a prerequisite.

If selected, the candidate must be available to travel outside the state for the selection purpose. They must also give an undertaking that he/she shall be available and be present at the ground in person during state selection trials, nets, particularly during selection matches, and all other cricketing activities related to the selection of the team.

Selected candidates shall be entitled to a professional fee/TA and DA fixed by the MCA.
