Imphal, July 21: Three more accused in Manipur heinous crime of abduction and gangrape of two women were arrested on Thursday.
Earlier, the prime accused in connection with the case was arrested.
“Four persons have been arrested till now. The State police is making all out efforts to arrest the other culprits at the earliest. Raids are continuing,” said a police official.
Meanwhile, State Police and Central forces continue to conduct search operations in the vulnerable and fringe areas of both valley and hill districts.
Two arms with five ammunitions were recovered in Imphal East district.
On the other hand, one cadre of PREPAK Pro identified as Nd Ibungo alias Abdul Hilim(38) of Khumidok Epum Mapan of Imphal East was agreed by Imphal East district police.
